ACTING WORK
WHO'S ADOLYN?
Me!
Well sort of, for I am always evolving, like a Digimon or Darwin. Oh, he's still out there...
I started off as a cognitive science guy. Working in the mental health field and honing my skills as a scholar in understanding the mysterium terendum (the overwhelming unknown). I used a latin word to describe something I could have easily said in English. See? Science guy. Science taught me that the more you learn the less you actually know. Which made me laugh.
And laugh and laugh I did.
So I started doing Improv, trained at the highly acclaimed Second City Conservatory. And for some reason people kept laughing at me and I kept going. I trained some more, got a theatre degree (for the money y'know), did some more training, ended up on shows like the Expanse, Designated Survivor and I continued to learn.
And I continued to know less. What I discovered through this process is that 'what' you 'know' cannot be fully understood without the 'how' you 'know' it. That's where science meets the arts.
Cogito Ergo Actum. I Think Therefore I Act.
